HEALTHY ENCORES CARRIBEAN (HEC)

Established in 2006, this event will celebrate its 20th Anniversary in 2026. Healthy Encores Caribbean is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving health outcomes and reducing health disparities throughout the U.S. Virgin Islands community.

This July, in partnership with the Virgin Islands Diabetes Center of Excellence (VIDCOE), Healthy Encores will host it’s Health Awareness Day. The event’s primarily focus is diabetes education and screenings, while also providing free health services and education in several key areas including cholesterol and glucose testing, blood pressure screenings, heart health, prostate health and prostate screenings, emotional wellness through access to trained professionals and valuable community resources. chiropractic care, fitness, nutrition and chidren immunization.

Health professionals and dedicated volunteers provide educational seminars and free on-site health screenings for both residents and visitors to the U.S. Virgin Islands. This initiative addresses critical need for preventive healthcare and improve access to quality health services within the community.

The success is made possible through the commitment of our community partners and the generous support of corporate sponsors and individual donors. Exhibitors share valuable health information. educational resources and giveaways, with the weekend culminating in a Wellness Walk for Diabetes, which promotes physical activity, healthy living and diabetes awareness.
